K-3 Redundancy Switching System

All of the capabilities of the K-16 Series Redundancy Switching system are now available in a high density 1U chassis. Control up to three A/B switches in either independant or gang switch arrangement. The K-3 series is ideal for creating the same disaster recovery and fault tolerent systems in smaller facilities.

The K-3 supports all of the same automatic and remote control capabilities of the K-16 series. Control viw Web, Telnet, SNMP, serial etc. are provided by the same control card as is used on the K-16 series. The K-3 chassis provides for one internal A/C or D/C power supply, with the option for dual redundant power in an external supply. Up to three A/B cards can be provisioned into the chassis.

Both serial and network interfaces provide communication with user friendly menus or web browser interfaces. Each A/B card in the system can be named for easy identification. Cards can be grouped and switched together or independently. For system developers, the K-16 series offers direct command control, both via the serial port and via UDP network messaging. This allows direct program control by Network Management Systems, customized user interfaces, or easily integrated into OEM systems and software.

The K-3 series is offered as a factory complete package. All power supply, control cards and A/B switch cards are pre-installed, integrated and factory tested prior to shipment.
