By using matched pairs of servers, mission critical telephony applications can enjoy maximum availability. Dataprobe's CT Server Redundancy for TeleVantage is a physical layer switching system that automatically reroutes the trunks and stations to a standby server in the event of a hardware failure. The system continuously monitors both the active and standby servers for availability. Switching only occurs if pre-set failover conditions are met. Once in failover, the system continues to monitor both servers and can be set to auto-revert, or remain on the current server until commanded to switch back. Remote management is possible via web or serial connections, and magnetic latching relays that maintain their position if power or control is removed. Configurations are possible for T-1, E-1 or analog trunks, as well as analog or VoIP stations.
