ALLENDALE, NJ; MARCH 15, 2007 ---
Dataprobe, a leading manufacturer of innovative technology solutions for networking systems management, announced today that HETEC Data Systems, a manufacturer and distributor of networking solutions, will resell its remote network management solutions to the German market. By enabling organizations with geographically dispersed computing systems to reboot, reset or control locked-up equipment at any location, Dataprobe's advanced technology reduces downtime and minimizes the costs associated with on-site technical support.
Established in 1988, HETEC (
www.hetec.de) is one of the pioneers of KVM switching technology in the German market. HETEC has continuously developed and marketed products for server management, known as console switching systems, remote access connections over IP and system monitoring equipment for banks, insurance companies, administrations, industrial enterprises and data centers. Another key market is digital signage. Complementary to its own products HETEC offers equipment made by a number of renowned manufacturers and designs vendor-independent solutions geared to customers' specific requirements.
HETEC will resell Dataprobe's leading remote reboot products, including the iBoot and iBootBar. iBoot, a single outlet power switch, allows remote equipment to be rebooted or power controlled over an IP network using an Internet browser. Its unique auto detection capability identifies failures in any connected system by monitoring IP devices on the network. If programmed, iBoot can then perform a timed reboot or other power controlled function automatically whenever the device fails. iBoot can also be directly activated by other network management systems. The iBootBar allows Web browser control of eight A/C power outlets and each outlet can be independently turned on, off or cycled for power-on reset.
Doug Osowiecky, executive vice president of Dataprobe said, "HETEC has a well established and respected presence in Germany, so we are pleased they will now be offering our iBoot line of power control products to their client roster. This new relationship is significant for Dataprobe because it will enable us to penetrate key vertical markets as well as extend our geographic reach. We look forward to working closely with HETEC and to helping their clients manage their remote systems and facilities more efficiently and cost-effectively."
Quirin Stamminger, marketing and international relations manager of HETEC said, "We always aim to provide our clients with the most robust and affordable networking solutions available on the market. With Dataprobe's iBoot power solutions, we can help our clients maximize the uptime of their remote computing devices while minimizing the headaches and costs associated with on-site technical support. This relationship is truly a win-win for us as well as for our valued customers."
The two companies will jointly showcase Dataprobe's remote reboot products at the upcoming CeBIT event in Germany March 15-21, 2007 at Booth D-06, Hall 15. CeBIT is the world's largest tradeshow for information and communications technology.
